La Suiss Derm is a premium, anti-ageing skincare brand. As a brand rooted in both Science, using stem-cell technology, and Nature, through its Swiss alpine ingredients, they were unsure of how to bring this duality together, and what single face the brand should show

Process

I kicked off our research by looking into the premium skincare category, focusing on brands that balance nature and science, to understand how this duality came to life in these brands. I mapped these brands against key attributes of the La Suiss Derm brand to understand where it had an edge. Alongside, I reviewed some research the client had on demand drivers for premium, anti-ageing skincare, and on drivers for choosing the La Suiss Derm brand specifically.

Truth

Brands typically choose either Science or Nature as a single edge. With the concept of Biotechnology, science and nature isn’t a choice, but a combination for higher efficacy skincare: nature, unlocked by science

Strategy

Reposition La Suiss Derm as Swiss biotechnology that unlocks the rejuvenating power of rare alpine ingredients, for superior anti-ageing benefits
