Help a burgeoning startup bring a collection of 23 of the world’s most renowned restaurant brands to Saudi Arabia

Context

In a desire to revolutionise the nascent restaurant market in Saudi Arabia and drive the economy, Coolinc was set up, backed by a sovereign fund, to open a collection of 23 renowned and diverse restaurant brands from London’s Gymkhana to New York’s Raouls.

Ask

Ensure the proper import, and necessary adaptation, of these brands to the saudi market.

Process

Beyond graphic guidelines, these brands had little by way of describing their brands. I needed to start from scratch and document each brand, to ensure proper import.

I created a blueprint of the information needed, and gathered this through interviews with brand owners, as well as supplementary desk research.

From there, I created training material on each brand: brand introductions, which gave an overview of the brand, and brand immersions, which focused on service behaviours for each brand. I was then responsible to host training workshops with 200-strong restaurant teams, across the 23 brands.
